Who we are:

The North Shore Celtic Ensemble is a group of 20+ young musicians from the north shore of Vancouver BC. Founded in 1999 the group is directed by Claude Giguère and Jay Knutson, two of Vancouver's finest celtic/folk musicians. The Celtic Ensemble is also a registered charity and non-profit organization.

N.S.C.E. has preformed at festivals and concert halls across BC and Washington State, including the North West Folklife Festical in 2003, and the Harrison Festival of the Arts, in 2002, as well as a 2003 Halloween celibration in Nelson BC and numorus festivals and concert venus around the Lower Mainland.

In addition to live prefomances, N.S.C.E. has recorded two CDs: Jig's Up, (2001) and Kings' Set, (2003). Both discs are professionally produced, sound great and will leave you wanting more!

What the press says:

The North Shore Celtic Ensemble has just released their second CD entitled, Kings' Set. The sound is just fantastic and it's hard to believe the members are students between the ages of nine to 18.Catholine Butler, the Celtic Connection, (12/'03)

Lots of interesting touches...I love the traditionally untraditional feel to the arrangements.Mary Griffith, Sacremento, CA
