[5: About an animal] I've only seen fireflies once. They're so easy to find in so many parts of the country, of the world, and yet, I've managed to miss almost all of them. I remember being six, and sitting out on a cool night in Uruguay, watching fireflies winking in and out, the little flitting motions looking so much like green embers from a fire, floating about on the breeze. We caught some and put them in a jar, but they stop their light show quickly after that. I think that only added to the magic for me. Those memories in my head are tied into the smell of eucalyptus and the taste of peach yogurt thin enough to drink from a glass. The feeling of cooler night air, and the dim memories of a house with something proportioned just so that it doesn't feel like here in my head, even if I can't quite pin down what.
