[8: coconut milk] I have a hard time going through an entire can of coconut milk. It seems like it's the one item in my kitchen that's cursed: If I split it with someone, I run out the next day, or there's no leftovers. If I crack a can myself, it's a guarantee that there will be a half-can in my refrigerator, mouldering and covered in pink fuzz at almost the moment I decide to go back for the rest. It doesn't matter if I try to add it to my coffee every day, or make curry several times in a row. It's cursed, and there will be a little dab in the back of the fridge, mocking me. There's a handful of other items that attempt to evade me this way, but if I put any effort into it, I can finish the cucumber or half pepper before it goes slimy, onions never last long enough to get uppity, salsa and the condiments will last just about forever, but the coconut milk will mock me.
