[15: Write about breakfast in bed] Meera stirred as she heard the metallic clank from the stove outside the bedroom. The little room was cold, and she pulled the heavy blankets over her head, shutting out the noise from outside, and letting her stay asleep a little longer. Twenty minutes later, the door opened, and the bed moved heavily as Dick sat down. She lifted the covers a little, and the smell of eggs and bacon hit her. “Hey you. I made breakfast.” Meera stirred again, still only half awake, and sat up slowly. The cottage was warmer now, but still cold enough she could see the edges of her breath. She rubbed her eyes. Dick bumped her with the tray. Two small plates, a tea pot, and two teacups perched in front of her. “Oh my. It’s strange to wake up here, but I think I like it.” “We’ve school in an hour. We’d best get a move on.” They packed into the truck and drove the short drive into the village. The train was crowded, unusual for a Thursday. There were at least twenty people wearing football team colors packed into their car, and a group of particularly boisterous men were lamenting the wet weather, since the game of the day was at an outdoor field. Meera elbowed Dick and whispered “Bunch of pansies”. He let a cockeyed grin slide but didn’t say anything. The train shuddered to a halt at the platform, and they had to elbow their way past the ballers to get out, and another team trying to board, crowding through the doors before anyone had a chance to exit.
